Hilscher OI4 Setup Guide

1. Sign up for SwarmGuard

1. Please sign up for a SwarmGuard account.
2. Download the SwarmGuard Industrial mobile application from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store by scanning the QR code below.
3. Open the app and sign in with your account (email address and authentication code).
   

2. Create an API key on the Netfield Cloud

1. Create an account on netfield.io (if you don’t have one already) and login with your account.
2. Select the section API Key Manager.
3. Click on Add to create a new key (or use an existing one). Make sure to select all permissions in the ‘appStore’ and ‘containers’ sections and click Save to finish.

3. Create a ‘Digital delivery address’ for the OI4 App Store

1. Create an account on oi4appstore.com (if you don’t have one already) and login with your account.
2. Open your account settings by clicking the User icon in the top right.
3. Click on Digital delivery addresses and add a new one by clickingAdd digital delivery address.
4. Enter a name, set the ‘Host’ field as ‘https://api.netfield.io/rest/v1’, enter the API key you previously created on netfield.io and click Save to finish.

4. Purchase the SwarmGuard Industrial Agent

1. Click on the Search icon in the top right of oi4appstore.com and search for ‘SwarmGuard’.
2. The search results should display the ‘SwarmGuard Industrial Agent’. Click on it and add it to your Cart .
3. Click on Checkout, add the Digital delivery address you previously created and finish the purchase process.

5. Deploy the SwarmGuard Industrial Agent on your device

1. Go to your netfield.io cloud and open the section Container Manager.
2. Search for ‘SwarmGuard’ by typing in the search field at the top right of the page.
3. Click on ‘SwarmGuard Industrial’, which should be displayed in the search results. Then click on Deploy.
4. Select the Hilscher device(s) you want to install it and click Review and deploy. Click Deploy in the dialog window that opens.
5. The deployment may take a couple of minutes until it is completed.

6. Add your Hilscher device to the swarm

1. Connect to your Hilscher device with a web browser.
2. Click on the menu item SwarmGuard Industrial in the side menu to open the SwarmGuard web UI.
3. Open the SwarmGuard Industrial mobile application and scan the QR code visible on the web UI.

7. Add more devices to your swarm network

Repeat step 6 for each device, or go back to step 5 if you need to deploy the SwarmGuard Agent on more devices.
